 Why Recycled Plastic Bottles (rpet)?

It took us a long time to choose the perfect material for our towels.
Many boxes needed to be ticked and now we’ve found it, we are very excited to share it with you.

Here are a few positive reasons for choosing material made
of recycled plastic bottles. 

1. BETTER FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
By using recycled plastic bottles to make our yoga beach towels we are making sure that some of the plastic waste doesn’t end up in landfills
and oceans.

2. DURABILITY
Polyester, including recycled polyester, is known for its durability and longevity. It resists wear and tear better than other natural fibres, which leads to longer product lifespans. Longer-lasting products mean reduced demand for replacements, ultimately decreasing overall consumption
and pollution.

3. RESOURCE CONSERVATION
RPET is reducing the demand for raw materials
and causing less strain on natural resources. 

4. LAND USE
Recycled polyester reduces the demand for agricultural land for cotton cultivation, helping preserve natural habitats and biodiversity.

5. WATER SAVING
This one is huge. Cotton is a very water-intensive crop, requiring substantial irrigation. Recycled polyester consumes significantly less water in its production. 

 When making sustainable choices, it's essential to consider the entire life cycle of a material, including its production, use, and end-of-life management. And most importantly, make good buying choices!
